Xcom is in no doubt in my top 10 games of all time, cant go wrong by enhancing it . Wish we could have the graphics of the new one with the depth of the first xcom.

honest question: why are you all so excited for a game you already played to death?
Because it shows that the forces of decline haven't completely prevailed yet and it provides us a with modicum of hope for the future?

*I* didn't play it to death.

Is anyone able to play on the Battlescape with a high resolution scale without terrible performance?

No slowdowns at all here, 1/2 res scale (1920x1080). IIRC some of the scalars could cause bad slowdowns in earlier versions, haven't tried them now.

It's probably the most replayable game ever. Top 5 at least.

Will there ever be a graphics replacement pack?

I like Xcom graphics, but I would like to be able to play OpenXcom without any dependencies on external data.

The OpenTTD project made it a strict goal for their 1.0 release, which I think was a great decision.
