Electromagnetic joysticks (aka Hall Effect joysticks) are a type of joysticks that use magnets and electrical conductors to measure their position, distance, and movement when in use.what the fuck are magnetic joycons
Rookie error - don't use electronic devices to bash your wife dude - the device might break.Did they reinforce the case so that the switch can hold up better when you have to bash your wife over the head with it?
so what will the performance specs be
the switch was basically an XBox 360 +
will the switch 2 be the equivalent of an XBox 1.5?
also, 12Gb of RAM? that shit will barely last a year, the standard is already 16Gb
No reason for this to exist as long as Steam Deck is on the market
The Steam Deck is a better purchase for a more savvy customer, assuming the specs given are accurate, it's basically an inferior Steam Deck.No reason for this to exist as long as Steam Deck is on the market
Ahh didn't know that just meant Hall effect joysticks (I don't understand any of that stuff anyway so thanks for the explanation as well), that's good then! I was starting to think their fix for the drift issues was gonna be replaceable joysticksElectromagnetic joysticks (aka Hall Effect joysticks) are a type of joysticks that use magnets and electrical conductors to measure their position, distance, and movement when in use.
Unlike standard analog sticks, which use potentiometers (basically an electrical resistance) to detect movement, Hall Effect joysticks have no physical contact between the moving parts.
Meaning that magnetic joysticks last far longer than analog joysticks and suffer less from issues such as stick drifting.
Actual 80IQ.- 256GB (most likely HDD)
Not really, the first Switch is probably the best proof it will most likely be not only successful but long-lasting as well, despite being memory starved. 16GB is more than enough for a mostly remote console, it is however both sad and unexpected Nintendo is trying to cheap out on fucking RAM off all things.also, 12Gb of RAM? that shit will barely last a year, the standard is already 16Gb

- You'll most likely have to purchase all your other games again as opposed to the Steam Deck where you can just re-download all your purchased games
- 12GB RAM as opposed to Steam's 16.
- 256GB (most likely HDD) compared to all of Steam's models which feature an SSD.
- You can plug a mouse and keyboard into it and play older games that are incompatible with a controller like old cRPGs.
- You can emulate Switch games on it
but Nintendo fans will purchase it regardless because they just eat up whatever it is they put out, even if the company never figures out that competent technology exists.
I use my Switch more than my Deck.No reason for this to exist as long as Steam Deck is on the market
