Incidentally, newest devblog show's a screenshot which seems to show a staff weapon skin for wizards.

EDIT: Oh wait no, it's just some boss.

Ok, for dedicated GFs out there - i tried the "overpowered" Conqueror spec on the test server. It's an interesting build. You're supposed to be totally reckless - means no skills for blocking - no shield talent. Basically 100% block all the time (+100% power bonus), because you facetank.
Oh boy, so they make it so that you don't have to rely on any interesting twitch mechanics whatsoever and make it into the typical "click ability when it's off cooldown" class. Woo
Like i said - solo PvE is probably exactly what you wrote - but dungeons will be different. Can't face tank there. Probably need to run around a lot and block occasionally as last resort.

Edit: How about gunthertym tonight, guys?

halflingbarbarian, we need your full handle, e.g. Jaralais@someothername

It's okay, Wild Slop got me into the guild earlier. Regrettably, it reminds me too much of World of Warcraft and the enormous amount of time I wasted in that game becoming the best (sold a server first full T2 rogue, restarted a rogue, and went on raiding in the top Singapore horde guild as class officer and also getting armored Netherdrake in the arena - top few % out of thousands of teams climbing rating every day) and then trying to hang on at that position. It's a good game though, but I just can't play casually because of my personality; if I go in I go in 110%. Luckily, since I'm in China my latency suuucks balls and seeing how potentially fun the PvP might one day become, I don't want to be invested and not be able to perform due to technical restrictions. Thanks for the invite though.

Good luck with the guild everyone :).

Ok, does anybody else have their game rendered unplayable by weird pathfinding glitches, like having your character randomly teleported a few meters backwards or sideways every few seconds - particularly when springing - or is it just me?

This one time I actually got thrown back two full flights of stairs in the middle of combat like it ain't no thing.

I think that's just rubberbanding or lag.

Also, remember to turn off On-Demand Patching, so you don't get surprise bonus loading.

Hey, thanks. After disabling that option not only did the lag stop completely, but the overall performance of the game took a great stride. I guess I rushed into it without properly waiting for it to patch, since the next time I opened the launcher it downloaded two additional gigabytes of data.

That's basically the thing, On-Demand Patching doesn't download and keep "non-essential" data, which the game then loads up on the fly. It's anything but a good thing.

Rogue is le boring, it's the easy mode for the game due to how ridiculous their damage output is. Wizard is by far my favourite class, there's a nice balance between power, tactical functions and vulnerability there.

And remember, the Codex is on Dragon.

Or shirt even.
I'll send them after the maintenance.

I also have 2 GF shirts laying around (no pants though, can't seem to get that task), if anyone wants one let me know.

So I gots a lvl 20 GWF (Mindflayer server), and apaprently they are shite. Should I re-roll control wiz or rogue?
GWF is teh shit. Don't listen to whiners. They are veeery annoying in pvp and with a good spec/gear they can kill anyone on 1 encounter rotation. This unstoppable or what it's called.. is basically a god mode for some seconds. If i see a GWF running for me - i am pretty scared. Can't say that for any other classes.

Steely Defense is bad. 1 point in Disciple of Strength gives more bonus damage than 5 points in Steely Defense with 2000 defense (which is what I have now).
Power in general is a bad stat for GWF (which is also why the Deep Gash feat is bad).

Double AD event starts in 2 hours.

Gerrard, how ridiculous of a question would it be to ask if you're able to craft the purple underwear yet?

Edit: And, if you can, what mats would you need for both for my GWF?

A couple million AD away. There's barely any tools left on the AH.

You need dragon eggs to make them which also go for around 100K, and at most you have 60% chance of getting the best result (a version that has a slot)

It was either Defense for both, or Defense for pants and Offense for shirt. I'm currently on STO so I can't check.

Hey, Early Bird and I ran some Gauntlgrym last night -- I was just getting my feet wet.

Anyone who hasn't tried it should; it's pretty fun. Basically a cooperative PvE event with... what is it, 20 other players? You buff up your side's defenses and power up your giant, etc., then it progresses to the PvP part (or is that first?) and then on to either the T1 crypt or the T2 crypt depending on how your side did.

Through some weird glitch I wasn't able to get into the crypt although I participated in the event, but it's fun enough to keep me busy along with dungeon delving until the new expansion comes out.

We need to get together for this more. What timezones are some of you in? Vaarna? Gerrard?
