Need coping mechanisms to deal with gaming's massive decline

Just play all the old shit you idolize so much again. I'm pretty sure many RPGs can be played through more than once and provide a substantially different experience each time.

Most new games are shit, but then again so were most older ones.

I'm happy at least about not having to do any upgrades on my computer. Can see myself sticking with my GTX 1070 and Ryzen 5 2600X for a very long time with so few of the demanding games being exceptional.

There were plenty of good games in 2020 (albeit not RPGs) and we're hopefully getting more ELEX later this year.

If you don't want to resort to replaying old games from 15+ years ago, you have a wide selection of:

1. triple-a CGI movies with occasional walking simulator and/or collections quest sections.

2. weird and gay "indie" shit about playing as little girls with godlike superpowers engaged in a thrilling story whose main plot twist is discovering that hideous monsters are really just oppressed and misunderstood, whereas regular people are the real monsters coz racism and sexism.

3. that's it, those are your choices. nothing outside this box can be allowed to exist on any mainstream platform.
