It's awesome but why do they name the game Mother 4? They probably don't use any named references to the other games, so with an other name I am not sure that something could be reproofed.

It's been in development a long time now, I'd be surprised if a C&D came.

Itoi actually does know about the project and he's fine with it. Of course, Itoi is just a good guy like that.

Of course, it's all up to Nintendo, but it's been known about for a long time now.

Probably to have it reach more of the series' fans, since other 'spiritual successors' of the series remained obscure years after their releases.

Modron will do, I think. The next couple of months will be pretty busy, schedule wise, but I'm sure I'll grab hold of it come June.

I'll be surprised if this game is good and/or lacks any political statement, something indie games cannot stop themselves from doing.
