Minecraft Roguelike RPG Modlist?

I have been thinking recently about how easy it would be to turn Minecraft into a really sick version of Ultima Underworld or Daggerfall but with VR support. Has anyone curated a decent modlist to add RPG elements and NPCs? Maybe Dark Sun/Conan-style magic, monsters from AD&D, or the castle mechanics from Kingmaker
