Being tied up and guarded sounds like the safest place to be. B.

Honestly, anyone here think Shinoseki isn't the killer?
I guess that depends on who or what you think Shinoseki is.

Meanwhile, please explain our clothes. Unless we stripped naked just to kill her, of course. Hmmm...

Oh, and answer me this - was it Shinoseki that Okuyama saw running to the basement? Or rather, did Shinoseki run to the basement, or didn't he? I believe it might be relevant to the question if he is a murderer or not.

Well, yeah.

This place is too strange to claim with certainity that we are the killer. Could have been the doppelganger (if there is a doppelganger and it is not another 'us'). Could have been that we are the hospital itself. Could have been anything.

We are connected to it somehow, but even we do not know how exactly.

I'm not claiming that Shinoseki is conscious of what's going on. My take is that he's quite insane, and all this is playing inside of his head, feeding off of his memories. Uehara might very well represent a childhood sweetheart. Mori the distant fatherfigure. Maeda represents his Oedipus complex. Not terribly sure of the others.

Then again, I'm just spouting bullshit here, but I feel it fits. :troll:

Flopping to A

Lets go and find another body, because running away sounds much more interesting than being tied up...And I don't want to know what they do to tied rabbit-chans.

I just want to point out that A would lead to us splitting away from the group in what appears to be a horror setting.

Even if we suppose that we are the cause of the happenings in the hospital and therefore are immune to its effects, there is an issue of food. What are we going to do when we get hungry? Sneak back to the cafeteria that would likely serve as a base for the group? Or hope that there would be a kind soul who would believe us and secretly get us some snacks, probably getting horribly murdered in the process because they would need to separate from the rest to do so, which would cement our reputation of the psycho killer?

That is assuming we can even outrun two practitioners of martial arts with our sublime athletic capabilities and the choice isn't between getting tied up and getting beaten, bound, gagged, and thrown in a cell. :troll:

Someone would have caught us if we played as a Paranoid Incarnation and tried to run away from people, after all.

Then again, that is probably what you mean by more interesting.

B.

By the way I was right, Amazonaky was the first..
For baseless speculations time I think that we are in a coma in the real hospital and are facing all the people we previously killed, depending as we react to all this we can go to helll, or the type of reincarnation we get consdering that this is a Japanese setting.

Well, I suppose this is where our inability to string proper sentences together comes back to bite us in the ass.

Possibilities:
1. The trashbag was real. A ghostly body part of the girl killed. Her helping us up and being trapped in the room was not an hallucination. The trashbag girl would have killed us instead if Uehara hadn't saved us.
2. The trashbag and her helping us up was all a fantasy. One we created to deal with the guilt of murdering her.
3. The trashbag and her helping us up was all a fantasy. One we created because what we saw (either finding her body or seeing her killed) was too terrible for our feeble personality to process.

I have a suspicion as to which one it is based on the evidence, but I'm going to go ahead and vote A for now. Mainly because if we successfully escape, it will mean the setting will get an extra dose of survival horror as we will be hunted by people as well as whatever is the the hospital - if anything - and won't know who Uehara's killer is until later.

B pretty much gives us a certain answer if someone else dies while we are tied up. Though, then again, B could just wind up with the others plotting to kill us and us being forced to escape after enduring multiple beatings and tortures. These aren't legitimate investigators. These are scared people. If no one else dies soon, you can bet we'll be the one they blame and I doubt her little boyfriend is going to wait for a trial before trying to kill us while the others are sleeping.

Current tally:

A - 5
B - 8

I'll probably keep the momentum going and update again in about 12 hours or so.

Mori is a legitimate investigator, or at least a detective, and save for Sakimura, no one else there is a hothead that does things on impulse.

Torture, beatings? Seriously? Even if they believe you are the murderer, they are much more likely to leave you tied up to give you away to the police. That's what scared people do to murderers instead of executing vigilante justice. What for, if they have already apprehended us and escaped danger? Look at the contingent we have - they are women and office workers, not bloodthirsty rednecks.

Basically, the only one we should be wary of is Sakimura, and I think Mori has enough experience to take him into account and keep him away from us.

Then again, I can understand the sentiment behind deliberately doing something stupid and watching the protagonist suffer. :M

Haha. What police? What happens when they don't come? The fact they are office workers and the like doesn't mean they are saints FFS.

Sure, Sakimura is the main one we should worry about. He's what I am talking about as far as beatings and torture goes. Well, and maybe anyone else who wants to take their frustration out on someone without having to feel guilty. But we don't know how long this is going to go on. Treave is known for his timeskips after all. A month may pass without any murders and by then they may want to execute us to save on food or just to pass judgment upon us because of the absence of any authorities. A sort of lord of the flies kinda thing.

They operate under an assumption they will get out of here sooner or later. They maintain the social norms that the previous, normal life, made them learn.

Until those norms give way and they start turning into animals, we are completely safe, and it does not happen overnight. First they need to lose hope of things returning to normal.

I am pretty sure that being apprehended is not a 'skip two weeks until you get murdered by a now turned crazy mob' scenario. The pacing is a bit faster than that.

As I said, I had a feeling the plot will be resolved in a week. We are only 12 hours in, and we are already down by 2 people. A month does not look feasible, especially considering there may even not be enough food to last that long.

I find these assumptions a bit premature. Whatever is out to kill us all does not like to procrastinate.

Good point about the pacing. Provided there is no time skip, we have a decent chance of being ok. Provided that we have a guard on us 24/7 and provided said guard doesn't look the other way while Sakimura beats us half to death that is. Edit: to clarify, I don't think we'll be killed, I think that things might be painful for us.

Nah, they'll just cuff your arms and legs and lock you in a room somewhere. No guard.

Regarding Sakimura, my personal take is that he was acting under affect. He will be more restrained after the initial shock passes. Not 'more friendly', mind, just more restrained.

'Looking the other way while he beats us half to death?' Bro, please. I am sure everyone would be happy to have a real sadistic psycho on the loose instead of a tied up suspect.

Then again, everyone is Theseus. Can't be too careful. Carry on, please. ;) :salute:
