Come on, you outrange this UFO class a good deal.

1. Full speed until enemy is within range.
2. Then slow down to minimum speed and launch first rocket.
3. Ufo will dodge the rocket. Don't wait for the dodge maneuver to end. 1 second after first rocket was launched, launch another one.
4. If you do everything right, you will always win these battles with zero damage taken.

I tried that, it seems my rokkit timing is off.

It shouldn't be that hard. I manage to hit the target with my second rocket 95% of the time. Granted, one rocket doesn't kill a scout UFO by itself, but you have gatling gun to finish the deal. It's easier to pull off when you zoom in during air combat.

There is a mod that makes air combat difficult. Something to consider if you get bored with the game.

Whatever grunt has highest bravery and isn't taken by someone else, rename said mook to "Azira" and see him (or her) inexplicably panic all the time, despite the bravery score. Much fun will be had!

Question: how ironman do we want this? I just got a fun TPK... A single alien killed 6 nauts. A single alien. I mean, this LP is blind and all and I could have aborted but I was frustrated and just wanted to know what the fuck it takes to kill it and it didnt work out... He ate 3 shots of laser shotgun reaction fire from 2 tiles away, and following that 2 sniper shots to the face and didnt die... This feels unfair... I would prefer to reload the mission and just nuke the place as if it didnt happen. And wait for more laser weapons.

I mean, I am all hardcore all the time but it was a trap. At first it was like that

Also, I lost the transporter and didnt play further, it could happen that a terror mission appears and I cant go (thats how I lost my first game, lost terror mission is a funding suicide). We'll see next week.
