this guy is desperate to get the job, it's odd. it's as if something large hangs in the balance. what do you use to balance things? a see-saw. and see-saws are made of wood, which comes from trees. who loves trees more than anything? think about it.

Sukhāvatī I urge you to reconsider your choice. to stand by and watch an innocent dwarf be sentenced to death by mining (i am old, weary, in the early stage of boneitis) and do nothing? it would be shameful. help me, my friend.

Dwarf afraid of mining. Yeah, sure.

Isn't mining the most honorable job the dwarf can do?

Unless he is sent to mine depths while defending himself from local wildlife.

Alright, so - huge surprise - all of you are making a terrible mistake right now.

Skill totals for HAGGLING:
Reinhard: 0
Citizen: 16
Givi = 18
Lithium Flower = 18
Spigot = 20

Skill totals for DISCUSS REQUEST:
Reinhard: 0
Citizen: 16
Givi = 18
Lithium Flower = 18
Spigot = 20

Skill totals for COVER FOR GAFFE:
Reinhard: 0
Citizen: 16
Lithium Flower: 20
Spigot = 20
Givi = 26

Methodology used here is the same as in here.

But Reinhard is currently leading with FOUR votes. Givi has ONE. I will admit that the only argument for voting for me is that Givi is a great miner and we seem to need those at this point, so his full-time mining ability is probably more useful to us than 6 extra points in Cover for Gaffe. Still, if I am to be rejected out of prejudice, pick Givi or at least Citizen for the job. Picking Reinhardt is an intentional sabotage of the fortress. Spigot's skills are great but his track record isn't - its up to you to determine whether or not 2 extra points in haggling and discuss request are worth getting sieged over.

***

Agenda №1: Option 2 (open the gates). We've got a buffer now, and some rudimentary equipment. We are lacking vital resources (BOOZE) and we should facilitate safe trade as soon as possible - it looks like the liason got into some trouble because we closed ourselves in.

Agenda №2: Option 1 (1 year mining/military duty) - Spigot made a high risk decision while yielding little to no reward. This was incompetency, not treason. He shouldn't be a broker, but there is no need to punish him further than that. He can, after all, bru.

Agenda №3: Option 1 (Annexation? Yes please) - With the imminent elven invasion we need allies. We need a supply chain and reinforcements. We live together or we die alone.

Elections:
Militia Commander - Kalin
Manager - Citizen. No organizer but I don't think anyone else has the skill so at least we will benefit from his good social abilities.
Broker - Givi for reasons above Lithium Flower as per reasoning in this post
Bookkeeper - I don't know. Azira? Sure.
Chief Medical Dwarf - Blibbu-chan UwU

It's not just sabotage, it's a disgrace! She had just became a mother and would spend more time beardfeeding the babby than anything else. And she needs to grow a proper beard because that sock on her face won't suffice.

What would Baud do?

Agenda №1: Option 1
It's too dangerous outside

Agenda №2: Option 1
That'd teach him something

Agenda №3: Option 2
FUK da queen

Elections:
Militia Commander - Brother Frank
Manager - RoBoBOBR
I like Andnjord's idea
Broker - Lithium Flower
It would work very well when the elves come back.
Bookkeeper - Squeecoo
Chief Medical Dwarf - Bliblablubb

Somehow I completely missed the last update. Like what the FUCK. The only thing that clued me in was people discussing its events and not knowing what was going on.

I RAN AWAY?! I can't fucking believe this. The first taste of real adventure and I fold and scram like a little bitch? Never again. NEVER AGAIN. Only in death will my duty end! If I ever leave a battle after this day it will only be for the good of my Kommissar, my Kommander or the Kommune.

Clearly I have... deficiencies... to deal with. Not least that I'm fucking pathetic at my chosen occupation. I'm not leaving drill and sparring until (1) I pass out from exhaustion, in which case as soon as I'm able I'm getting back on the horse, or (2) I'm at least able to give Kalin and Frank a run for their money in the sparring ring. I just can't look at myself in the mirror (well... if we had one) knowing I can't give a good account of myself in a fight.

Agenda №1: Open the gates. If those treefucking faggots want a piece of our Kommune they can come get some. I swear on Daler's name that this time, I'll be on the front line!

Agenda №2: One year in the mines/military. Basically I agree with Lithium Flower's reasoning. A year of hard physical labor is good for any dwarf's development, I say.

Agenda №3: Kommander, Kommissar, Kommune. I'll defer to whatever decision the Kommissar makes in this case.

Elections:
Militia Commander - Kalin. He's in it until he dies or Grimwulf decides otherwise.
Manager - No idea.
Broker - Givi.
Bookkeeper - Squeecoo.
Chief Medical Dwarf - Azira. The Trinity cannot be broken. Azira I hope you listen to Bliblablubb though, he's doing great things.

This fact didn't stopped anyone from sending me fight unknown horrors in caves.

Yes - i ran away. So what? It only proves i care about dwarven lives and will do anything to not let dwarves die! In absence of Kommander, when Kalin embraced his inner beast i ordered tactical retreat and led everyone to safety!

Wait, Grimwulf, why didn't my dwarfette run away from the troglodytes like all the other dorfs did?

It was a weird battle overall. At first, 6 troglodytes charged at the Prolebashers. Most of you ran away, probably due to poor equipment and lack of training. Personality traits and Discipline skill affect the chance of morale failure. Kalin attacked the troglodytes, and immediately after his initial assault, 5 troglodytes decided to fall back.

You were fighting by his side, to absolutely no effect. You were missing every strike until Kalin dropped the troglodyte on the ground. And even then you couldn't finish off the damn thing.

Then, after Kalin killed the first troglodyte, I ordered both of you to return to the fortress. You did. Kalin refused. By the time Prolebashers got their shit together and regrouped for the clean-up, all troglodytes were already obliterated. A few of them were trying to escape, but the Prolebashers hunted them down. Stukos killed one, already crippled by Kalin, so it's not really an achievement.

Troglos aren't really hard opponents, but they tend to wander the caverns in large groups. Even a highly experienced fighter might have trouble fighting them all at once. This battle could have gone much worse if the troglodytes weren't afraid of Kalin.

Agenda №1: Option number 1; Keep the gates closed. We need to prepare more before we open them.

Agenda №2: Option number 1; a year in the mines. It'll do him good.

Agenda №3: Option number 2; Sheesh, no-brainer.

Elections:
Militia Commander - Kalin. Best to keep him in a position where he fits, and he doesn't do too much damage. He'd be a right nigthmare as manager, for instance..
Manager - Lithium Flower. He's lived with the elves, correct. Only, now he doesn't.
Broker - Lithium Flower. Doesn't make much difference, as the gates will be closed.
Bookkeeper - Lizzurd. Because.
Chief Medical Dwarf - Myself of course. :obviously: I'll keep Blibabblub around as my intern, in case people are wondering. She has shown to be ... capable. Yes.

Militia, with proper equipment.
Now, if Helly had managed properly, we would've been planting plump helmets we could then harvest to make booze.

Of course, if the majority wish to open the gates to let in elves and deer, then that might just be what we get.
