Eye of the Beholder series has real time combat like Baldurs Gate 2 and is not turn based like regular blobs. Is Eyes of the Beholder series a blobber or something else?

I think Akalabeth was probably one of the first "blobbers" if you count the dungeons. Even before Wizardry I if I'm correct? But it wasn't until Ultima III where you had the first party-based blobbing.

Ultima 3 is TB but there is a timer as well. You sit and it'll PASS on ifs own on the continent, in towns/castles, in the dungeons and yes in combat. Hit z-stats to pause the game in a way.

I've avoided wikipedia for two decades, and the screenshots are entirely created by me during my playthroughs of Dungeon Master.

Although I understand that for you, as with many Codexers, the act of playing CRPGs is an unfathomable concept.

I call them "bobbles" instead of blobbers, you know, for all the "bobble-head" portraits they typically have common. This and the fact you typically need to "bobble" around the dungeon until you find the damn exit!
