Why must all games be derivative

Dorkest dungeon would take place in the offices of a multibillion dollar corporate building that is hundreds of stories tall. You start at the bottom and try to become mailroom guy but you are sweep the parkling lot guy. Hopefully, with promotion you can explore the DORKEST DUNGEON and use the computers, type on word and open up spreadsheets showing the other nerds and dorks you are the DORKEST OF THEM ALL. You strive to level up and becone a grandmaster NERD, or DORK, or DWEEB, GEEK, DINK, etc. Choose your class wisely for the other dorks are after the same prize.

After watching the video its different from DD as far as I can tell. More like a demonic Dragon Warrior game.

Whoever made it impossible to cut the music entirely should be hanged by the neck until dead.

I don't like how many of the skills are of the boring variety ("1-5% increase"). Not all of them are like that though. However, the demo is too short to give a good idea of how diverse classes/skills can be and that's - in my opinion - the most important aspect of this game.

Equipment and personalization
The threats you'll face will only grow in difficulty but Hellslave put the emphasis on personalization and grant you multiple way to defeat your foes. Every demon-worshipper needs to adapt his skills and outfit to the threats coming his way.

Choose carefuly your equipment to suit each situation! How will you react when you'll face a demon that steals your mana or prevents you from healing yourself?

Experiment between the dozen different pieces of equipment and make use of every things available to you. We'll see next time a new mechanic that will also help you in your quest to defeat the demons!
