It seems you are right. However, the game certainly didn't count my character clears and end-game points bonuses after the first completed playthrough. Bug?

And yes, attacking Tokuga first may be a better idea. Funny, I played the game 4 times and always started with Mouri.

Plus, you must have not used Sill's heal on Rance.

And one more thing. Never, ever use "fight again" option when you fail. I suspect that the game substracts them from a global variable (i.e. the pool of points that you used in this playthrough to e.g. recruit extra characters or buy more action fans) instead of the local one (the one displayed in System info).
No shit Sherlock.
This way you lose points even if you reload.
I call bullshit on this.
Because of that thing I got only 5 points after my first successful playthrough.
Probably because that's the fucking rule. Even if you have a minus because of extensive use of "fight again" you will still get those 5 points at the end.
Though, I think the game has to autosave before the change to the variable is recognised.
In some cases yes.
The former is obvious, the latter relies on you conquering Takeda by force, letting the game autosave and then reloading a previous save with the proper conditions now set .
I beat them once before with brute force.

Ok, this is how we will do it:
1. Takuga is next. I will think about recruiting their leader.
2. I will leave Iga for later, the method of conquest will be a duel with Inukai (I want that Great Treasure).
3. Orochi is on my "to do list".
4. Mind you, I really don't want to show as much stuff as possible in this LP.
5. Takeda or Mouri.

And yes, attacking Tokuga first may be a better idea. Funny, I played the game 4 times and always started with Mouri.

No need to get irritated over that. :) It's nothing compared to how I botched the job during my first playthrough. I attacked Masamune's stronghold about 10 turns
after Sill got frozen
being level 56 or somewhere around that. Imagine the rage after coming to think that all the youkai wymyn hunting was for nothing... Luckily there are happy pucuru (Rance lv70 + Rance Attack >>>> Masamune lv60 :twisted:).

If by clearing you mean clearing every character in each of these house than you're right. I believe clearing some chars in Takuga excludes the others and Kobayakawa Chinu cannot be cleared in TRue route.

But Whiskey has loads of time to conquer both families before ITZ coming. Considering his investment in that extra action fan at the start of the game and current speed of his armies I predict ITZ will come in 10 -13 turns (depending on which house he will decide to finish off and the method of doing so he will choose).

I'm afraid he won't get Takeda bonus in this playthrough, though. :(

Time isn't really a factor here. I mean, it's turn 53, and the plot will be forced further on only at (or after, I'm not sure) turn 90. You are right, though, about fully clearing those houses being impossible - two of Takuga captains have mutually exclusive clearing conditions and as for Mouri, well, it's plot related.

That Takeda bonus is a double edged blade if I've ever seen one. Oh, sure, their commanders rock (though not quite as much with the pitiful forces they get if you start with them), but if you take it you start at war with Takeda, and they are pretty strong and aggressive even without their 4 best commanders. And since you usually get a border with them early on, AND they're a gourd house, AND defeating them triggers a war with Hojo, who are ANOTHER gourd house that bonus seems kind of overpriced.

They missed a chance to add EXTREME C&C with Omachi. Let the player choose to fuck her, but if you do then she turns to stone afterwords and you lose her forever.

How is it that there are still alive hannies? I thought Rance killed all of them when you conquered their territories.
