So I happened to stumble over this thing here and it looks pretty interesting.

It's a DLC-sized quest mod for NV apparently and it takes place in several custom locations. The atmosphere is pretty great and it seems that combat got a few tune-ups as well via other mods.

Plot summary:

"The mod is about helping reunite new orphaned children with their estranged Aunt and Uncle who live in a very far away land unknown to most in the Mojave. Travel to new worldspaces, get loads of new weapons, make choices that dramatically change the story, and meet and build relationships with new characters."

Dialogue seems to be pretty ok too, with actual skill checks and choices. VA is limited so far but what's there seems decent.

Music seems pretty good too, opting for the more old-school thematic vibes than actual orchestral songs.

Apparently, it's made by one man and flying underneath the radar concerning other quest mods, so that might be a good thing (considering how fucked up The Frontier was)?

Thoughts?

Looks interesting, but like sharaher said plot summary is typical "find daddy" bethesda thing. Could be good i guess and more quest mods is always nice.

Personally i'm waiting for the Nova Arizona legion themed mod to come out.

The fact that it's not the player's Aunt and Uncle is much better since it probably doesn't dump a ton of backstory in the player's lap.

The main problem with Bethesda games is that they make the main quest way to personal to the PC which kills a lot of the roleplay. Don't really see the same problem here since you can probably choose how you can handle those NPCs because they don't have familial ties to the character.

I also noticed that the tone is MUCH darker than Bethesda's, much more akin to the old Fallouts.
