Yet this doesn't matter shit, because there is no area damage in the game
12/10 GOTY
The difference is that not as many will secretly enjoy stepping in dog shit.Everyone in this thread will at some point step into dog shit, too.
Of course we are going to play it, how do we even bash it properly without playing it?
How is the crit. system?Gotta say, the combat is allright. All enemies have a different gimmick to them, Molerats swarm you in packs, two attack from front, other will dig into ground to reappear behind you, ghouls are very fast, deal radiation damage and dont dodge attacks while not caring for missing limbs. Mutants have suicide bombers that are faster than others chasing you with a ticking bomb allahu ackbaring you. Their dogs seem to have high perception making sneaking more harder. Depending on rank, human enemies will flank and take cover (melee humans are still retarded though). If you sit in cover they throw grenades. Radscorpions absolutely tear you apart.
The game is also a lot harder than FO3. In fo3 you could kill mutants easily with level 1, you can forget that in 4. The mutants you saw on the stream were just the standard mooks with crappy damage reduction and weaponry. We've died pretty often so far, playing on hard
I can also confirm that all this minecraft stuff is not mandatory aside the tutorial, same as the early power armor is just a tease, as it is now sitting useless at the homebase.
There are some mild C&C in dialogues, pretty big amount of npc have a 'like-o-meter' that changes depending on your actions and dialogue choices. 'Codsworth likes this' for example. Yeah.
Haven't seen that much of the world so far. Graphics seem to be ugly in stills but ok in motion, the lighting system can produce some very nice atmospheres.
Diamond city is nice. It's pretty huge and you can talk to a lot npc. For some reason the music there sounds like in witcher 3s novigrad
Followers have unique quests that can unlock stuff for them like in new vegas
The amount of customization to your gear you can do is absolutely insane, especially with the layered armor system.
The perk and 'skill' system still is absolute shit though
Anyway just reporting in, take of that what you will
If you want to see some screenshots etc just tell what you want to see
Everyone will play Fallout 4 eventually. The point at which you cave in is directly related to how much you bashed the game pre-release. [...]
You casuals really have no idea what pure spite and righteous hate are capable of, have you?Everyone will play Fallout 4 eventually.

First come the people who hated the game with a passion before it was even announced back at E3. Watch in awe as they check in with every stream and go looking for stores selling it early. They are already playing it, and will probably get 100% completion before the game is even out on Steam.
Next come the people who bitterly complained about every aspect of the game since the trailer. They are downloading the torrent as we speak, probably "just to see how bad it is".
After that come the people who complained about everything while secretly still keeping a faint-but-dimming hope that it might be Good For What It Is. These people will purchase it on Wednesday when it comes out, or perhaps a couple days later. I fall into this group.
Penultimately come the people who just dropped into the thread from time to time and expressed neutral-to-negative opinions. They'll probably play it when they get around to it in the next month or so.
Finally come the people who were secure enough in their belief that they wouldn't really like Fallout 4 that they never felt the need to announce it in this thread. These are the only people who will legitimately never actually play it.
You mean general NPCs or followers only? If non-joinable NPCs have that mechanic, then it's an improvement allright, but what happens if they like or dislike you very much? There are some mild C&C in dialogues, pretty big amount of npc have a 'like-o-meter' that changes depending on your actions and dialogue choices. 'Codsworth likes this' for example. Yeah.
Holy shit, a cannon from the U.S.S. Constitution becomes a portable weapon. Bethesda always delivers.
Names?Right now I have 25 friends who have pre-ordered.
I'm still waiting for my Codex review copy~The "entire Codex buys the game it shits on" thing is a myth. I thought the poll we did after the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition made that clear.
But don't take my word for it. I have almost 400 Codexers on my Steam friends list. We'll see how many of them own the game a month from now. Right now I have 25 friends who have pre-ordered (including some non-Codexers).
That moment you learn Infinitron adds you on steam just to see if you play shit games. But don't take my word for it. I have almost 400 Codexers on my Steam friends list. We'll see how many of them own the game a month from now.
