Because we needed more Fallout 3 posts:

Overall the number of enemies on-screen at any time is probably higher than the norm, but you nearly always have an ally or two, and health recharge points pepper the level to a degree that goes beyond Bethesda hand-holding and moves into full-blown spooning.

I love Fallout 3. I love it to an almost indecent extent. It was far and away my game of 2008, and doesn't look like being knocked out of my personal top spot for a good while yet. But when you sift out its role-play, the ammo-box inspection and the exploration and draft in a fleet of health and ammo regeneration points to compensate... well, affairs just feel shallow and somewhat naked. Hopefully a lesson has been learnt at Bethesda towers. Business as usual next time please.

It hurts so much that these fuckups at Bethesda got their greedy hands on the Fallout franchise and now continue to ruin it utterly and completely with all their crap. Money grubbing motherfuckers.

From the stealth armour and some other stuff, it looks like they aren't even bothering with the retro futuristic pretence now.

Looks more like a half baked Crysis mod.

So it seems Bethesda is improving - they've learned that there is also a blue colour besides black and white.

You've got a game that is a shit FPS with some decent exploration play and half-arsed RPG elements tacked on, so what do you do?

Push the more promising stuff aside and focus on the worst aspects, of course. Duh.

Well, they are right ... it takes about 2-3 hours to finish and its pretty much all combat, there are a couple Speech checks, one that we can get a Gauss Rifle and the other were we get the Chinese General to turn Japanese and commit seppuku and that is about it.

Also as mentioned in the review there is a SHITLOAD of heath and ammo renewing points ... notice what I said "renewing points", you just activate a red glowing thing and that is that.

BTW the Chinese Stealth Armor does not bother me because you are really not going to find much concept of stealth clothing beyond the old black wetsuit.

Can't even buy the fucking thing normally. Have to use 800 MS points to download it. What kind of bullshit is that?

Been playing it. Production values are surprisingly high. Even though there seem to be 2, 3 voice actors tops, there're a good number of new animations, textures, crap. The gameplay of it is really, really terrible and reminds me of Hellgate London taking your character away and dumping you into a half-baked RTS portion for the hell of it.

Overall, best to think of it as a content pack for modders. Pirate it and then wait for modders to do something good with it.

PS: Similar to Oblivion DLC, once it's installed, you get "A QUEST APPEARS" text box popup.
