soloed Brothers of the Forge on elite as a rogue, that was really fucking tough. Unyielding sentinel helped a lot.
:shredder:

In other news, I unlocked Artificer.

(Dungeon Master): The light has forsaken the land of Barovia. Grasping shadows and cold, swirling mists fill its valleys. Hungry eyes gleam in the darkness, howls fill the night, and the sun can never truly be said to shine.

Finally got to Ravenloft on the weekend, it's like a whole different game. I love the music and the atmosphere, the music I've heard before was mostly meh. Also I've got my Assasination thing from level 12 and now I can stealth-kill mobs like a proper rogue! And a single level of cleric I've been neglecting for too long, so now wand heals will be much cheaper than pots.

Man, that Barovia theme... There we go, I've ripped it with variations and uploaded it to Youtube.

I think it's some of the lowest levels where you can access 'newer' content. Not all of it is Ravenloft level, but it's mostly of way higher quality than the older stuff for sure.

Keep of the Borderlands is supposed to be from last year, but its wilderness area is real uneven, due to very clear lighting and not that much vegetation.

This is good:

This is worse but the fog helps somewhat:

And that keep in the background is just plain ugly:

I think borderlands was a bit rushed and mainly intended just to provide an alternate newbie experience
you can find quests by update here: https://ddowiki.com/page/Quests_by_update
doesn't include update 45/46, one of them has the new gatekeeper quests: https://ddowiki.com/page/The_Lost_Gatekeepers

can't remember if I already stated it, but there's a completely missable dialogue with a guard after you leave Korthos island that is no longer available after level 5

Saw that one, hehe. But I failed on every check. Why does it state DC numbers for you? Dialogues only show skill names for me.

Well, you either look at the wiki to know where the traps will be, just try to remember where they are or get a fucking rogue. I tend to bruteforce elemental ones by casting resists and having a healer heal as needed though.

Yep. Biggest benefit is probably epic martial lives for the AC bonus, can stack up to +24 i think, at level 1. Its handy.

You can only keep one stance active per sphere, but the passive bonuses stack.

When the worlds reopen, all characters who were created on Wayfinder prior to 5:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) on Wednesday, July 15th will have in their inventory: One Heroic XP Stone that will grant 2 Million Experience when consumed (Bound to Character), one Improved Epic XP Stone that will grant 4 Million Experience when consumed (Bound to Character), and 50 Greater Elixirs of Discovery (Bound to Account).

Actually, i have lvl 4 barbarian on wayfinder - made her for fast favor run and she got free shit. Problem is - she's stupid. She was never intended to be played past lvl 3-4....

Retarded lvl 20 barbarian with equipment from korthos island - what could possibly go wrong?

Any easy quests to get mid to high heroic equip to prepare for epic? Ran some keep on the borderlands epic quests with my 20 lvl barbarian in lvl 1-2 starting gear with free barovia weapon. It's doable, even if long and tedious, but rewards are lvl 21-22, so i can't equip them yet...

Just team and get carried until you have some decent green gear then. Do the web of chaos arc, the dailies that everyone does in a team every day like two toed tobias, etc. They are basically soloable for decently geared toons, and nobody cares if they have to carry a few players through them, plus the exp they give is insane.
