Post pictures of your graph paper maps from Wizardry or the like!
I've recently started Wizardry 7, a more detailed game than Bane allowing a bigger legend and delineating many different tiles, which lead me to ask for pictures and advice in drawing the maps. I've found myself distinguishing tiles like the cobblestone and grass in New City which may be a vanity. The first dungeon was easy to navigate so I never mapped it by contrast to the first floor in Bane which needed to be mapped out because of the stairways to the second floor. That may be decline however I think each room and pathway had noticeable differences that could be understood as good level design. New City is impossible without a little mapping out. Too many twists and turns in the alleyways. Also keeping track of each building, store, or emblem would be a nightmare on first playthrough.
Anyway, post some maps, legends, and notes! Any dungeon crawler is welcome btw.
