Needs more RPG elements obviously.
Not only that, but damage system, especially visual one, is trash too.
Drive a car full speed into medium sized tree - car will look the same as it drove into a concrete or another car, and there will be not a single scratch on the tree.
It seems driving games got stuck soon after 2000s. Hence why I stopped playing them around 2005: Everything was the same. No real improvements, just shinier graphics.

Why even bother with this when you can get Dirt Rally 2 with every DLC car, rallycross track and rally location / stage for something like 15 bucks?

Dirt 5 is on the same engine and same quality / fidelity, I think.
I haven't played it, sorry, and don't particularly intend to. WRC 9 looks to be the better option for rally gaming this year.
