So this is still p early in development by the looks of it but the devs have demo available and it seems to be p promising. Gotta love how much effort they're placing into replicating Deus Ex's UE1 look.

Determined to uncover the truth, Rex is thrust into a lethal confrontation with a shadowy organization with ties to a top secret black project, and even entities from another world. "

The demo is much more Goldeneye/NOLF than Deus Ex, and it's pretty early days- needs a ton of work in the AI and difficulty departments - but it has cool vibe and lots of potential.

Deus Ex and Goldeneye are very different kinds of games, so I wonder how this is supposed to work. The trailer looks cool, but the only obvious similarity to DX is how the UI looks, while the gameplay really appears to be modeled after Goldeneye. I agree however, that the game seems to have lots of potential. Let's hope it leads to something.

Deus Ex and Goldeneye are very different kinds of games, so I wonder how this is supposed to work.

They're both shooters with an espionage theme, have objective-based levels (kind of in the case of Deus Ex, as it's a far more open game), somewhat realistic enemy damage model with location damage and stealth mechanics, so there is some general thematic overlap between the two. But of course Deus Ex is in a whole league of its own in pretty much every area imaginable when compared to Goldeneye, I can't name one thing Goldeneye did better as much as I do still enjoy Goldeneye's singleplayer.

I played the demo when it came out. It has a nice vibe, but I don't know yet if I'll like the game or not, because all the core elements of this kind of game (such as stealth, alternative approaches, etc.) are missing. It's basically a simple Goldeneye for now. That being said, it 'does' have the potential because they really nailed the vibe and all.

This at least seems interesting. Maybe when a newer demo comes out might give it a try. Still holding out for Core Decay to possibly recapture that Deus-Ex vibe.

Watching this thread with great interest. Looks right up my alley but they need to deliver on the multiple pathways and playstyles. Doesn't sound like they've done it yet.

If the demo is any indicator, there should be some AFAIK. There are at least two paths I've seen to enter the main demo base.

that's a sick name for an IP, can they trademark that?

I was just checking the US trademark site and unless I missed something Deep State™ is open (for video game class). They possibly should go trough the process and trademark that....

I don't see why not. It's not like they named it "Cabal Of Jewish Pedophiles That Runs The World".

Looks a lot like DX1, specially the HUD, but you can see that the gunplay is actually very polished, while in original DX1 it was atrocious
