They post a mesh that looks like a generic low-poly female and male with some none-saying preview art , a shit weapon, and generic level design and you get all your hopes up.... I can make such shit within 7 days and even with better textures for the weapon and i'm not even an artist.
What the fuck is wrong with you?

I think we're getting our hopes up also based on the record of the devs and the first cyber knight, not just what they've shown so far, which is lackluster to say the least. At least for me, I don't know what the others think.

And the name Flashpoint alone could trigger Jagged Alliance 2 veterans PTSD. And I guess there is a lot of overlapping fanbase here.

Haha! I'm watching that dev stream right now too. It's too bad these don't get more views. I've never seen a developer speak so openly about the development process, plans, and customer interaction practices before. Part of the reason why I admire these guys so much.

Can't wait for Cyber Knights.

Given that they're previously delivered products, I don't see a reason why i would doubt their ability to deliver this one, but I also see no reason why I, personally, would want to invest in this given the complete lack of any return I can expect to see on my investment. They already have successful products, why are they still begging for money? Were those products insufficient to fund their next project, despite having begged their way into buckets of cash without having to repay any investors since they managed to sucker people? This seems frankly undignified.

Look like a mobile XCOM clone. And I hope the final release will have a skybox. At least it's readable.

I actually quite like the look of the actual concept art. It hasn't translated too well to 3D, but honestly, still better than Star Traders: Frontiers in my opinion. I think my biggest problem is the look of the UI. Come on Trese bros. This is a PC game first and mobile game later.

Thats what happens when you're on the threshold of 70, the old memory box goes to complete and utter shite. Enjoy your youth and bang as much tail as you can, when you can. About Cyber Knights: I got the email from the Trese Bros trying to get the arm in my pocket. I will shell out for this one when I see the final product, and only then. The UI in the recent Star Traders title was a bloody mess, TBH.

Their KS starts a day before Owlcats. Not sure that is particularly good timing but an Owlcat shoutout might bump their numbers really good.

Anyway, I got access to a preview of their full KS. Not sure if its okay to post the whole thing but I'll share a part that I find particularly exciting:

While you may make some quick raids or smash-n-grab missions, the real cash comes from big missions that require upfront investment and serious risks. We’ve modeled our multi-stage mission system after years of home-brewed pen and paper cyberpunk games and set out to create the classic heist feeling for Cyber Knights. No big score is ever won without legwork. You’ve got to secure the right intel, find a fixer who can pick up the right equipment and bribe the right people -- all before you even hit go.

Missions allow you to consider multiple approaches to your goal, each option with its own prerequisites, benefits and drawbacks. To prepare an approach, you might need to gather forged documents, buy a unique hacking program, steal disguises, purchase specialized equipment, bribe security or Brave Star officers or complete any manner of prep work, including shorter missions to scope out or secure the main objective. When a big job comes along, you’ll have to invest -- time, money, and risk of life and limb -- to be ready to handle it. But like a good heist movie, if you can pull it all together and keep your cool, the payoff can make it all worth it.

Once your team is on the ground for a mission, you’ll have to weigh your options. You can move in stealth through areas, dodging patrols and security systems to edge closer to your goal. Your electronics-savvy hackers and phreakers can disable or hijack different parts of the on-site network, perhaps opening locked doors, disabling turrets or distracting personnel. And while stealth, deception and hacking may clear a lot of obstacles, eventually it might come to a firefight -- you are elite urban mercs, after all. When trouble comes up -- as always does in a good heist -- you’ll have to make new plans on the fly or you may have no choice but a straight-out, bloody sprint to the objective.

The multi-stage mission design makes it important who you know (can you locate a black-market hacker who can provide a level 7 Stagnate Virus?) and how your team operates (do you lead with a Face and forged credentials or focus on stealth, unleashing your deadly cyber ninja assassin to quietly kill your way forward?). Combined with a wide variety of mission objective types -- infiltration, assassination, kidnapping, virus injection, escort, bodyguard duty, pitched battles, prototype theft and more -- the Cyber Knights mission system is next-level for driving player agency, building suspense and keeping the challenges shifting under your feet.

i hope they can deliver a good combat system.
U kidding bro, have you played Templar Battleforce, thats one of the best turn-based tactical games out there.

I'm starting to play Mortal Glory (it's on steam and of course, not on GoG), i find it way better than Templar Battleforce, even better than Sigma Finite Dungeon i played last year (nice little Tactical by the way).

Mortal Glory isn't ToEE but it has interesting races to play, a kind of semi random itemization which isn't that bad and works well with the game and a lot of skills you can learn or get from your gear.
