The police system was absolutely abyssmal when I played it, they would teleport into a closed room and start shooting you. The comparison to GTAV's police system was often made and how lacking CP's was. People who played at launch give a fuck.
I also played the game at launch and I don't give a fuck about the police system. Or, to be more precise, rather than have it "enhanced", I'd have it nerfed. Without an underlying factions system it was just a nuisance and now it's probably gonna be a longer nuisance. The police system gripes just became kind of a meme on stilted NPC reactivity and it stuck.

And just to be a dick - the police response is also lore-breaking. How can Trauma Team brag about their Platinum Package 3-minute response time when the NCPD can teleport a drone up your asshole in 10 seconds flat?

Forbes: CD Projekt Red is now bigger than Ubisoft
It seems that the problems with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 are now forgotten and forgiven, and the Polish gaming giant is now the largest in Europe.
After the disastrous release of Cyberpunk 2077, many feared for the Polish developer CD Projekt Red. However, the studio acknowledged the flaws and worked hard to correct them, and has since announced several exciting projects in the The Witcher series as well as a huge expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 (which has also received a very popular Netflix anime series).

The investment seems to have paid off, and now Forbes estimates that CD Projekt Red is worth $3.5 billion. This means that CD Projekt Red is now the largest game maker in Europe after overtaking France's Ubisoft, which is valued at $3 billion. Forbes also believes that Ubisoft's low valuation makes it a prime target for acquisition by Microsoft, Sony or any other large tech giant looking to grow in the industry.

By comparison, Sony recently bought Bungie for $3.6 billion (far more than Ubisoft). As successful as Destiny is, it's hard to ignore a treasure trove of series like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, The Division, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and of course upcoming blockbusters like the new Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Ubisoft's value can also be compared to Activision Blizzard, where Microsoft intends to pay $68.7 billion for the latter, while Bethesda went under the hammer for $7.5 billion. Other giants include Capcom, valued at $8 billion, Square Enix at $5.5 billion and Take Two at $25 billion.

The previews on YouTube are pretty bad. I’m fucking sick of hearing about the changes to the police system. Who gives a fuck!
rewind thread to start and ask that again. ton of idiots.
I never understood problem in first place. If you play game as intended you never fight with police aside form one quest.

Out of every system that could've used an overhaul, police is the least important. Best case scenario, you can build 2 or 3 missions around it. Worst case scenario, you dick around with the police 2 or 3 times like you would in GTA and then you never engage with the system again.

They were bigger than Ubi before, when their stock was pumped to high heaven. Although right now, it's probably more Ubi doing their best Titanic impression.
For me it's more notable how utterly destroyed and meaningless IPs are nowadays, that corporations are in charge of their direction.

If the police system should be or not a priority, okay, that is debatable, to me a lack of decent level design is indeed a much worse problem and should had been the priority, however, it is a problem and only because it might not be on the top of the priority list it doesnt mean it stops being a problem and games with a far lower budget managed to implement it what makes CDPR position even more embarassing.

Cyberbug already suffers from the walking simulator syndrome, I dont think adding something that you can shoot and survive your OP powers is a waste of resources on a game that already suffers too much of being a easy walking simulator, that makes even more sense as they are overhauling the perk systems and they are mostly focused on combat. If youtubers are that shallow to only talk about it, well, they are retards, that doesnt meean this system isnt important.

Also, when I played GTA games (yes, ithey are shit games in the end but work as an example), the police isnt only something you engage two times but something you also engage during the missions, if CDPR failed to make it important, it is a problem of CDPR not of the system itself. I'm seeing all that hype train shit returning again and people wearing the rose colored glasses again, well, we will see when the hype dies down and people become more objective again.

Would be funny if the police revamp had them be called in as soon as you attack gang members in the middle of the street, your main source of money. Right now it's only a problem is you specifically harm or threaten innocents (aim at them), which is unrealistic.

Bruuuh why do I have to wait under a bridge for two minutes until the police goes away every time I shoot some tyger claw? How do I turn this off?

From what I read you can draw police into gang tarritory and they will fight each other.
