I had access to a gaming PC for a while, so I decided to use it to try out some slop. The last time I did that, I "played" Soyberpunk 2077 for about 3-5 hours. It turned out to be as dogshit as I imagined, completely repulsive zogslop developed by wretched polack troons of the Earth to the delight of goyim worldwide. Needless to say, my expectations for the Baldur's Gate 3 were high. Would it be as bad as I made it out to be in countless shitposts over the last 2 years, without ever actually playing the game? Let's find out!

Disclaimer
I knew this game would be cringe & soy & gay the way it is intended to be played, and I'm not a masochist. From the very start, I decided on a few simple principles to keep me from losing my sanity while playing the game:
  • every annoying nigger/faggot/etc. companion killed on sight
  • whenever possible I'm siding with the cool guys, if there are any, and killing the nigger/faggot/libtards
  • also playing as The Dark Urge, because I've heard it gives you some cool options
  • I am playing on Tactician difficulty so that maybe combat is interesting at least

Here is my The Dark Urge Lolth-Sworn Drow Wizard:
photo-5906515420498741524-y.jpg

Basically, I have decided to evilmaxx as I assumed that it will allow me to have the least cucked experience, killing all diversity hire NPCs on sight.

Reactivity (there is none), Choices & Consequences

When it comes to reactivity, the game is actually much WORSE than I thought.

photo-5906515420498741523-y.jpg

Here's an example just from the very beginning of the game. Here lies Shadowheart, she is a solid 7.5/10 Elf brunette, unconscious there, so my evil drow's first instinct is naturally to rape her! (because rape is very evil, I would never thought about it in this situation in real life, but here I am role-playing). But can I rape Shadowheart? No, I can't. Personally I think that if the game allows you to kill every NPC, but not to rape every NPC, that's liberal hypocrisy at its best.

But it gets even worse. First location I go to is a "tiefling" camp, it is getting attacked by some goblins. The goblins are hostile and the "tieflings" friendly by default. Meh, whatever, I'll bite and fight the goblins. But then a new contenteder appears - a diversity hire NIGGER (potential companion) joins the fight and starts yapping some annoying cringe reddit oneliners. It is decided, I am killing this uppity Emmet Till ahh nigger instantly.

So I started blasting at this nigger with my shitty lvl 1 spells! And after 2-3 hits, the nigger is dead!

Did his friends notice? Did they turn hostile? No, I am literally burning this nigger alive as they are watching, and they do nothing, they completely ignore it. Please note: I am a drow appearing just as they are being attacked by the goblins, and I attack and murder one of theirs, a completely innocent nigger (and this is happening while they are being regularly attacked by drow-led goblins). THEY DO NOT CARE. After the fight is over, they thank me and call me a hero, as their nigger friend they saw me kill lies there in a pool of blood. WOW Larian, just wow. Fallout (1997) could flawlessly implement something as simple as NPCs reacting to their ally being attacked, and numerous other games did that as well. But somehow that's too complicated for our gamedev prodigies of Larian.

The whole game is like this. Things you actually do in the world, or during combat, does not matter. There is no emergent in-game reactivity, something you would expect if you ever played games like Fallout, Baldur's Gate I&II, PST, Arcanum, Fallout 1&2, Deus Ex, or even Stalker: SoC. But Larian knew better. The only C&C you have is in the scripted events and the dialogues, you can pick to side with the druids or the goblins for example, but is that really all you should expect from an RPG? The ability to pick a faction? That's not choices & consequences, that's gay & lame.

One of the most disappointing examples, the assault on the "emerald grove" or whatever. The tieflings think I'm their friend, but I have betrayed them of course, and I am sent there by my hot drow bitch Minthara to infiltrate the grove and backstab the tieflings and druids. And in my head I already wonder what can I do. Can I maybe go to the kitchen and poison their food? Silently murder some of them one by one while no one watches? Since the game has all these surface mechanics, can I just start a fire? The tieflings tell me about the exploding barrels they have dug in the ground to explode when the goblins come. Can I dig up these barrels? Can I do anything at all?

No. No I can't do anything. Here's what you can do: you press a button that starts the battle, and then in a dialogue you pick whether you side with the goblins or the tieflings. That's all. It's pathetic.

There's so many little annoying things that you can't do, because if something is not an option you pick in a dialogue, you can't do it. Like here, you can't use the mage hand to trigger the trap. If you have detected a trap you can't trigger it on purpose from afar:
photo-5906515420498741510-y.jpg

There is no emergent reactivity not only to 99% of my non-scripted actions, but also to my character's background.

Sure, since I rolled a Drow, I can enter the goblin camp easier, and I can sometimes pick Drow dialogue options, that usually are absolutely irrelevant, and at best give me the possibility to do an Intimidation check instead of a Persuasion check - things like that. But the character background reactivity completely falls apart in crucial moments, and it is EMBARRASSING.

Two examples:

  • at the goblin camp, the goblin priestess offers to help you with the parasite. To do that you must drink a potion. If you're a wizard you can do a check to find that it's actually a sleep potion. No matter what you do here you only have three options: drink the potion, attack the priestess, or just walk out. So far so good. If you drink the potion, you fall asleep and later are rescued blah blah blah (I've read that on the Internet). BUT, if you are a drow, you are immune to the sleep potion, so when you drink it, you cannot fall asleep, and the goblin immediately becomes hostile, and calls the remaining 9423 goblins to kill you. This is fucking DOGSHIT. First of all, the goblin priestess should never even try to trick a Drow like that because THE DROW IS A DROW, why is a goblin trying to outsmart me? And then the second thing is, a goblin priestess, being a FUCKING HEALER, should know the basic knowledge to be aware that as a Drow I will be immune to her stupid sleep potion. This is broken.
  • the second example is even stupider. There is some mansion that was attacked by a band of Drows, there's a bunch of dead flaming fist guys dead, one flaming fist female is mourning her brother freshly killed by the Drow, and here comes me, a Drow, and what does she do? She literally says: "nah you're fine, I can see you're not like the other Drow". NIGGER WHAT? So they immediately ask me to help with opening the doors. There are 4 knights in armor there with swords and shit, and they are pushing the locked door with their hands. The game wants me to attack the door with my Rapier 4 times to destroy it as the dumb knights watch. This is embarrassing. Anyway, after I open the door, some bitch gets rescued from the fire, and she calls me, a Drow, a great hero and the most heroic person ever, because I came here and stabbed a door with my rapier to destroy it, after numerous people were murdered and burned alive by the Drow. But I'm not like the other Drow.

Story (who cares)

Next, let's take a look at the game's story. Just joking, I don't care. The story is some rip-off of Stargate: SG-1 and you're infected with a Goa'uld larva. It also gives you superpowers because the intended demographic of this game are Marvel slop consumers. There's also some super secret macguffin superweapon, because the intended demographic of this game are Star Wars consumers, so of course there has to be a superweapon. Don't get me wrong, the story does not seem to be as insultingly retarded as in, say, PoE2, it's just bland and fillerlike enough to not require any further inspection.

Oh, also, the game is not a continuation of the Bhaalspawn Saga, so I don't know why it's called Baldur's Gate 3. I think that's probably a typo, and they must have meant to title the game "Not Baldur's Gate 3". There being a typo in the title would not surprise me at all, given that the game is quite bugged. Since the story doesn't matter, here's Shadowheart's ass:

photo-5906515420498741503-y.jpg

The game is quite bugged (and janky)

Mind that I pirated a recent version of it, so with all patches and whatnot applied. And it's still bugged. My PC and NPCs were moving in t-pose without animations regularly. I can initiate conversation with NPCs through locked doors, be teleported for a cutscene dialogue inside a locked room outside of, tell the NPCs to walk out through the door (still locked), and then be teleported outside again after the dialogue ends, and the doors will be closed still. There are a lot of situations like this, but I don't really care. It's the least of this game's problems.

The AI is absolutely retarded

This is something I didn't expect. The AI is completely retarded. But your allies and the enemies. NPCs will heal each other, and maybe 50% of the time they will try to avoid surfaces like grease or fire. That's about it. Other than that, the AI is often just not-working at all. Because of that, playing on Tactician and with just 1 one companion (I killed all the other companions for being faggots, more on that later), and being massively underleveled, I can cheese my way out of every fight. Here's an example of PEAK AI RETARDATION, the fight against the druids:

First of all, Minthara and her entire army of goblins and spiders and whatnot inexplicably stops killing people, and she tells me to kill the druids alone. Whatever. When you walk down to the cove, some goblin allies will be spawned, but there are shit, and the druids are OP, so you have to cheese it. So I initiated the fight from above. This bamboozles the druids completely. They will stand all together in one place and do nothing except healing each other and sometimes throwing shit, but they can't meaningfully attack, and they won't move. But the druid leader, since she stands closer to the stairways I think, will actually run up to you, completely alone. You can then easily wait till she commits suicide by exploding herself with 3 exploding goblins (note: 2 goblin warriors standing just 10 meters away are supposedly to far away to care about this fight).

photo-5906515420498741520-y.jpg

After the druid leader is killed, I could send Shadowheart to the cove. This magically causes these guys to spawn:
photo-5906515420498741519-y.jpg

These dudes weren't there before, because this game is retarded. You can win this epic showdown resolving the druid situation by attacking the retarded druids who stand in place from above, waiting till the druid leader commits suicide basically (because the goblins who would stop her from leaving the cove are not spawned until you go there), then go there to spawn the goblins so they can deal with the remaining druid. It's so fucking stupid. Also, almost all encounters in the game can be cheesed like that using bugs & retarded AI. Except for the Underdark I guess, where you have scripted ambushes on every corner, and you can't do anything because you are being attacked by a cutscene. Larian can't make good games but they can mass produce cutscenes, so they try to resolve all gameplay issues with cutscenes. It's pathetic.

Combat

Combat is meh. It's not as good as in ToEE. You get a lot of options that you will never use. Every fight I had was a combination of grease, scorching ray, crossbow, and shadowheart buffing and healing. I have no idea what the higher difficulty is called "Tactician", there is no tactics involved whatsoever. Another problem is that my wizard is too OP and to good at everything. I can cast spells, but I can also competently fight with swords (without investing in it, just having basic race proficiency), jump like a monkey, run like a nigger, stealth decently, find and disarm traps, intimidate and persuade NPCs (without using spells), and so on. My character felt like a marysue. When I play a low level wizard, I want to be a normal wizard. And when I decide to become more competent in melee or thief skills, I want to do that later on by the way of feats, proficiencies, skills, or just dual classing, I don't want to be a marysue from the get go.

Anyway, the combat gets a bit more palatable when it's close quarters. These happen very rarely, most of the game is open space, at least in the Act 1 there are no real dungeons. This was the only fight that I actually enjoyed, my PC and SH were standing in the corridor outside of the door on the left, and it was possible to murder the entire party of bandits through the door. Burning animations and sounds are okay by the way, but nowhere nearly as good as in Postal 2, a 2003 game. I have other issues with combat but they are mostly related to how shit D&D 5E is, on every level, so I won't elaborate here in this brief review.
photo-5906515420498741508-y.jpg

Companions

Let's get it out the way, isn't the companions the reason normies play this for?

  • Shadowheart. Good bitch. Not annoying. Voice acting decent. Didn't mind having this companion. Was my only companion throughout the Act 1.
  • The gith bitch. I wouldn't mind her, would add her to the party, didn't seem annoying. But after the squidman ship crashed I didn't find her until the end of Act 1, and I won't be going out of my way to look for some noseless bitch. Also when she showed up at the end of Act 1 she died due to a bug, lmao.
  • Astarion. HOLY SHIT, how can you possibly create a faggot so annoying? Hearing this voice actor made me want to douse him in gasoline and set on fire (in Postal 2). I didn't kill Astarion immediately, I allowed him to join my camp (never my party), so that I can rat him out to vampire hunters as soon as I get the occasion.
  • Some mage dude. At the beginning of the game there's a cutscene with some mage dude asking to be pulled from a portal. But as the Dark Urge you could just rip off his arm, which I did.
  • Emmet Till. The uppity nigger was killed by me in front of the druid grove, and nobody cared.
  • Minthara. Hot dark elf bitch, I'd definitely add her to my party later on, but you can't do that in Act 1.
  • Karlach. Weirdo tiefling red bitch, I would probably add her to my party but you can't do that if you kill the druids, so I murdered and beheaded her.
  • Bear druid faggot. Didn't even meet him, I know he's somewhere in Act 1 but I didn't find him so I couldn't kill him.
  • Whatever the fuck this is:
photo-5906515420498741516-y.jpg

This reptilian monstrosity appeared in my camp and started begging for help. You don't have an option to attack it in the dialogue, but after I told it to fuck off I attacked it outside of the dialogue and swiftly disposed of it:
photo-5906515420498741515-y.jpg

I wouldn't even rape it.

Pornography & Romance (& animations in general I guess)
Why do normies live like this? What makes them feel like watching these 3d animations of fucking is enticing? At least in 2d hentai games you can sometimes get some actually decent-looking artwork. But watching my dude fuck Minthara was so cringeworthy. The animations are just bad, and it's not just sex. In every other dialogue, my Drow PC constantly grimaces and does some weird faces that makes him look like he's got cerebral palsy or was double vaxxed and quintuple boosted with safe and effective (((mRNA vaccines))).
photo-5906515420498741511-y.jpg

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO WATCH THESE LOW-POLY MODELS FUCK??? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!

I guess the models look alright from far away, but when they are zoomed in in the porn scenes it just looks terrible.

photo-5906515420498741518-y.jpg

Lolis
There are some lolis in the game, but you cannot recruit them to party or romance them (again, very poor c&c).

Here is loli Shadowheart:
photo-5906515420498741514-y.jpg

Here is some tiefling loli that if you're the Dark Urge, you can get her to commit suicide by snake:
photo-5906515420498741521-y.jpg

Antisemitism
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the game feels somehow antisemitic in tone. The whole story of the Absolute is the fitting metaphor of the Jewish World Order:

photo-5906515420498741506-y.jpg

Wow, is that an Infinitron reference?:
photo-5906515420498741502-y.jpg

Advantages & Disadvantages of Baldur's Gate 3

Advantages:
+ Minthara hot
+ You can kill niggers and faggots

Disadvantages:
- Nobody reacts to you killing niggers and faggots, so it's like you don't even really kill them, you know what I mean?
- Not really a Baldur's Gate
- No emergent reactivity whatsoever
- No exploration
- Buggy and janky
- Retarded AI
- Progression completely broken (you get the same amount of XP per capita regardless of the number of party members, holy shit)
- Shit & boring itemization
- D&D 5E all trash
- Bad animations
- The whole game is 90% cutscene simulator, with 10% being a combat minigame in between cutscenes
- No day & night cycle
- Writing mid to shit mostly, but usually not too offensive
- Almost everyone is a faggot, nigger, "tiefling", reptilian or some other freak. When the most relatable and normal guys in the game are the goblins something's not right

Conclusion
In all honesty, the game is not nearly as bad as I thought it to be. It is a solid 3/10. It definitely is by far the best game Larian ever made. I played it for 17 hours and didn't suffer too much. There's actually content for maybe 5 hours there, but everything DRAGS ON FOREVER because of the Larianslop way of opening 50 containers in every room and clicking on 100 items on the ground separately to pick them up. Also, enemies in combat sometimes just stand in place and think for 20 seconds before acting. And obviously, 90% of the game is a cutscene. Not only every single dialogue is a cutscene, but also ONE LINE QUIPS OF IRRELEVANT NPCS ARE ALSO CUTSCENES. So when you click on an NPC and he tells you "fuck off mate", that also means watching a 30 seconds cutscene. Everything in this game is wrong on such a fundamental level that I'm sure no mods could ever make it actually good (you could make a decent game from scratch using this engine, probably, but this particular game is unsalvageable). There is no day & night cycle.

Did you take pictures of the screen with your phone? Are you for real?

It's especially irrelevant, when you realize you can change appearance with the 1st level spell or some magic item you find in the first area. I played through that part of the game as a drow too, even thought I wasn't.

+ Minthara hot
You realize this NPC is based on a real male actor's facial scan? They literally tricked you into fucking a man.

And NPCs in general never react when you try to bamboozle them with spells. Even though when you pick difficulty, it explicitly tells you that on higher difficulties NPCs will "sometimes" react to being charmed etc. I haven't witnessed it even once. I guess it would probably only happen if you try to bamboozle one of the more powerful NPCs like the green hag.

Uhhh I'm sure at least her voice actress is hot, right? Right?

Is this a joke or something that actually happened?
On one hand it would validate how I always find her HIDEOUS as a woman, but the funniest part would be the mismatch with how many lesbians keep fawning all over her character in certain corners of the internet.

In the original design document she was supposed to be womanly, but they turned her into a troon with each new appearance.

this is about math and algorithm. You picked quite a peculiar spot. While there is a path to reach you, its far. So far that alorithm stops short and never finds path in question. Its as if you were in unreachable location that also cant be interacted with(based on ss you are breaking los). There arent many locations like that in the game
